A man who went on a drunken rampage and caused over €1,000 worth of damage to premises in Dunshaughlin was convicted and fined at last Tuesday’s (September 2) sitting of Dunshaughlin District Court.
Derek Dobson (26) of Glenbhu Road in Cabra committed the rampage on January 20. He pleaded guilty to the two counts of vandalism.

Fears have mounted in Dunboyne that the village’s existing built environment will change with out-of-character three and four-storey apartment buildings following the lodging of a major retail and housing development.

Over 5,000 pupils in Meath primary schools are in class sizes greater than 30 pupils, according to a new survey released by the Department of Education.

It could be 2012 before Trim gets a playground because of Trim Area
