Two men charged with the possession of €8,500 worth of drugs following
a raid on a premises in Navan on Wednesday, 16th January were released
on bail at Friday’s (18th) sitting of Trim Court.

Construction of a new €70 million retail park for Navan is expected to
commence within weeks.
Blackrock International Land plc has this week announced that its

A nasty video of Navan schoolchildren and teenagers locked in brutal
fights has been posted on the internet. The sickening video was posted
onto the popular website YouTube last week and shows 17 clips of
vicious brawls involving youths of different ages.

A Saturday night out ended in tragedy for a young man who died
following a road traffic collision at Kilmoon Cross.
The deceased and three other men who were all non-Irish nationals were

An Ashbourne man who died tragically over the Christmas period was
described as “big hearted” at his funeral last Thursday (10th
January).
Barry Maguire, from Deerpark, died on St Stephen’s Day after he was

The closure of the Drogheda-Dublin line following a freight train
derailment outside Skerries caused massive inconvenience and distress
for Meath Commuters last Friday (11th).
The 1,000 passengers that use Laytown and Gormanston train stations on

advice centre and social outlet for Meath’s estimated 14,000 strong

The HSE has slashed the budget of Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan by over
a €1m for failing to meet efficiency targets.
