Bail for men on drug charges

Two men charged with the possession of €8,500 worth of drugs following
a raid on a premises in Navan on Wednesday, 16th January were released
on bail at Friday’s (18th) sitting of Trim Court.
Tadas Puloninkas (29) of Beechmount Grove in Navan was charged with
possession of amphetamines with the intention of selling and supplying
and Darius Beleskevicius (30) of the same address was charged with the
possession of ecstasy and cannabis herb with the intention of selling
and supply.
The court heard that the two men were arrested on Wednesday night
following on going investigations at a house in Beechmount Grove. They
were brought to Navan Garda Station where they pleaded guilty to the
charge of possession of the drugs. They were remanded in custody over
night.
At Friday’s Court sitting, Judge John Brophy ordered that the two men,
originally from Latvia, pay a cash bail of €5,000 each, surrender
their passports and sign on at Navan Garda Station until they appear
before Navan Court Wednesday, 23rd January.
